My Delicious Almond Milk

“Only when we have become non-violent towards all life will we have learned to live well ourselves,” -Cesar Chavez

I tried my best to really understand why humans drink milk. But the more I tried, the more I don’t understand.

The concept of drinking cow’s milk for a so-called protein is some kind of gibberish. Cow’s milk is designed to take an eighty-pound calf and turn it into a three-hundred pound heifer in a few months.

All animals stop drinking milk once they are weaned. But humans think they are more sensible than Nature and continue to gulp in other animal’s milk throughout their life. No wonder, humans are more confused and suffers from all kinds of diseases.

Almond Milk has more nutrition than cow’s milk and is far more absorbable into the human body.

Sproutable almonds are also a great source of proteins and amino acids. Cows and other mammals get their nutrients from plants, so why should I get my so-called nutrients from a second source when the original source (plants) are there for me to get the best version? Common sense. Learn from Nature.

Ingredients:

3 dates, seeded

3 cups filtered water

½ cup sprouted almonds or any organic almonds.

Preparations:

Place the dates in a small bowl, cover with the water, and soak for about 1 hour, or until soft. Transfer the dates and their soaking water to a blender, add the almonds, and blend until smooth. Strain through a wire-mesh strainer into a tall glass and serve. (The pulp can be blended again for a lighter batch or used for “rawies,” or dehydrated cookies.)
